In less than a month the Santa Maria Fairpark will be transformed into a Veteran's Resource Center asSanta Barbara County Veterans Stand Down takes over. On October 20th, we will combine forces with agencies like The Good Samaritan Shelter, CHC,Santa Barbara County Public Health Departmentrepresentatives, and more to provide services to the homeless and low income Veteran's in our community.
Since it's inception we have provided health checks, vaccinations, microchips, grooming, pet sitting, and pet supplies to the four legged family members of Veterans. As we gear up to provide these needed services again, we could use your help!
New or gently used donations of the following items will allow us to provide for the pet's of these Veterans and allow the Veterans to focus more on their health and well-being.
Flat, nylon, buckle collars in all sizes
6' nylon leashes (please no chain or retractable leashes)
Large or x-large harnesses
Large dog beds
Cat and dog toys
Dry dog and cat food (no kitten food as we have an abundance)
Miscellaneous pet items (shampoo, litter boxes, bowls, wipes, poop bags, etc)
Donations may be dropped off at your local Animal Services Shelter. Please let them know it is for Stand Down.
